On the OpenSwim app, you can connect your smartwatch in order to sync your swimming data between your watch and the app. Currently, the app is compatible with Garmin, Apple, Suunto, Coros watches and Strava.
If you swim with a different watch that is not supported by the app, or if you simply swim without a watch, we've still got you in mind!
Add a swim session
Did you know?
In the app, you can manually add your workouts. Depending on what you want to do and how much time you have, you can create your workouts with more or less details. The solution for creating a detailed workout will be explained in a second article.
Here, we will keep things simple. To add your session of the day in just a few clicks, here are the steps to follow.
- From the Workouts tab, click on the + icon in the top right-hand corner. You can open the same page by clicking on the “Add an activity” button at the bottom of the page.
- Select option 1 " Quick session". You can also open the page from the left menu via “Report a swim session”.
- Data are pre-filled, but you can change them as you wish. Fill the distance and the time.
- Click on " Save workout". That's it, your workout is saved. Your data and statistics are now updated.
- On the Congrats screen, you can choose among few options if needed:
- edit it, if you made a mistake.
- save the screen or change the background photo if you wish to save or share it.
Easy, right? We made a Reel to present this feature on Instagram. You can add as many sessions as you like. From now on, there's no excuse - use the app now!
