On OpenSwim, find more than 950 swimming workouts . From the workouts list, use our filters to refine your search and find the perfect workout.
On the app, you can also report your swim session manually. To go further, we offer swimmers the option of creating their own workout. This feature has several benefits for swimmers.
You decide directly in the app how much detail you want to provide. 1 set, 3 sets, 10 sets, accessories, intensities, different times—everything is customizable.
How to create a workout on the app
To create it, follow the following steps.
- In the Workouts tab, click on the + icon in the top right-hand corner. Or click on “Add an activity” button at the bottom of the page.
- Select option 2 " Detailed workout".
- Add a first set with the "Add set" button.
- For each set, please select: stroke, phase, intensity, time and distance intervals, and accessories. You can even add a description. Once your set is complete, press the “Save” button at the bottom of the page.
- The first series is added. Please add as many series as necessary.
- For each series, options are available via the three buttons on the side. And how to edit it? Simply double-click on it.
- When all series have been created, press “Save” at the bottom of the page.
- One last thing: you have two options to choose from. At least one of the two options must be toggled on.
- Save workout. If enabled, the workout will be saved and available from the workout list. You can swim it again in the future.
- Mark it as done. If so, your data and stats will be updated.
- After validation, on the congrats screen, you can choose among few options if needed:
- edit it, if you made a mistake.
- save the screen or change the background photo if you wish to save or share it.
