Paris, act 2
The Paris 2024 Olympic Games have just come to an end. After more than 2 weeks of fierce competition, the curtain on the first act has closed in the French capital.
A second act begins in just a few days' time with the 17th edition of the Paralympic Games, from August 28 to September 8, 2024. This will be the first time Paris hosts the Paralympic Games.
As with the Olympic Games and the opening ceremony on the Seine river, here too the opening ceremony will take place outside a stadium. The athletes will parade down the legendary Champs-Elysées avenue, all the way to the Place de la Concorde.

The competition venues for the Paralympic Games are, for the most part, identical to those used for the Olympic Games. 15 sports (out of the 22 on the program) are using the same venues as the Olympic Games. These historic and magnificent sites will be enjoyed by the 2.8 million spectators expected over the 11 days of competition.

Para swimming at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games
Swimming is one of the 8 historic sports, already existing at the 1st Paralympic Games in 1960. Behind para-athletics, para-swimming is the second sport in terms of number of participants. This year's events will also be held at the Paris Défense Arena.
More than 600 athletes will take part in the 141 events planned, over 10 days from August 29 to September 7 (full schedule). Athletes are divided into 10 groups, according to their disability (explanations).
Tickets are still available. Come and share emotions, supporting French and foreign athletes. A once in a lifetime opportunity!
